Avoid this company! They really know how to annoy their previous customer
I switch from Clear Business to Business Stream on 21/01/2020 for the water service, because Business Stream gave me a better deal. Everything seems been handle okay.
However, on 09/02/2021, one year after, Clear Business emailed me an invoice, charge me extra £63.91. The reason is because they think their previous estimate of water meter reading is wrong, they think the estimate meter reading should be 75, not 52.98, one whole year after I left them. And it is not the case, I did keep a picture of the meter reading on 21/01/2021, which shows the meter reading is 53. After received a chasing payment email on 24/02/2021, I tried to call them. However, after listen to the music for 45 minutes, I lost my patience. So I email to their customer serice instead, describe the situation and attached the picture showing the meter reading.
On 04/03/2021, I received a phone call from Clear Business, still chasing for payment. So I talked to the guy on the phone, told him the situation. And he ask me to call Clear Business Switchboard and ask for customer service in water department. So I have to call Clear Business again. Luckily, this time it did not take too long to get through. And I explain to the staff in the customer service in water department. And he located the email I sent a week ago. Seems he fixed the problem.
Today, I receive another invoice from Clear Business. They did not rectify the problem, instead, the description is "Payment by Non Direct Debit", the charge is £10.00, and 20% VAT on top of that, so it is £12.00. And they sent a statement chasing for total £75.91.
I really cannot understand what kind of company this Clear Business is. One year after the customer left, think their previous estimate is wrong, and make a new estimate to charge its previous customer. After the customer emailed with picture and talked to customer service, they not only did not fix the problem, instead , sending another invoice, charge for Non Direct Debit Payment and charge 20% VAT on top of that.
It is just very stressful to deal with this company.
