Absolutely appalling

Absolutely appalling , my husband had a business account for about 14 years and informed them in December 20 that he would be retiring in March:21. They said there would be no problem. Unfortunately they now want almost£250 for the pleasure of him retiring and closing the line. Or a letter from a solicitor that will cost him. I think someone at the end of a renewal phone line did NOT tell the truth and us so motivated by bonuses that we now face a stupid bill. Their behaviour as a company is disgusting.
