Too little information; not worth $5k investment
My name is Kelly (my husband is Stepjen) and I listened to a promo video on Instagram by Cortney Fletcher for a training on starting an online store. This has been an interest of mine and I signed up for a 30 minute interview. The sales person was Nina. She was pleasant not pushy and she asked me questions about my dreams, how much money I want to earn, how motivated I am etc. I answered honestly. But then when I wanted to ask questions, she did not know any of the answers. These are basic questions that lets me know what they offer overall. For example, in the video Cortney mentioned they work with suppliers in various countries. But Nina did not know how many suppliers or which countries. These are valid questions as I have some experience in the business world. This complete lack of knowledge by a rep was worrisome as I was asked to invest $3800 for a program almost blindly. It appears they prefer to recruit women, mostly younger, who have little or no experience or business knowledge so they can entice you into the program. Also Nina never specifically mentioned this was drop shipping. It is extremely hard to make 6 figures in Drop shipping working 20 hours a week.
Lastly in doing research, (Google Reviews for "ecombabes" or "ecombabe") other platforms had comments and concerns. Everyone was offered $1900 end of last year. So now the price has doubled. They said it was $5k but $3800 if I signed up today.
Also when I texted a question to Nina, after our interview asking if Version 3.0 came out yet, Nina said she was concerned and asked how did I know. Well if you do business online she should know the power of internet. Anything you say or do on internet can be tracked or documented.
Why are they paranoid that I asked this question? Why is it a secret? I would hope after 5 years they update the program regularly. If I asked a lot of questions, they should be prepared and impressed. They promote female empowerment yet one must have knowledge to become empowered. I am knowledgeable and empowered to make sound decisions. This should be applauded not frowned upon.
I do not feel comfortable investing $3800 with almost no details, and no way to test drive or have a trial period of a week to see if it will work with my business store model and goals. I do have the advantage of age and experience to ask appropriate questions. General answers with platitudes is not sufficient.
I recommend YouTube videos on how to start a Shopify Store, drop shipping, organic and paid advertising. And it's all free.
