Review of Daymade

Awful change today!!!!!!!

I was really liking Daymade until they made the changes today (that take effect from the draw on Friday 29th). They have removed the £5 and £10 more regular wins, reduced the value of some of the tiers (£2,500 to £2,000, £500 to £300 and £100 to £50) and reduced the likelihood of winning the top two prizes (both now 5% less likely to win). All this while telling everyone they are making these changes because people were asking for better odds for larger prizes. No such thing has happened. The only prize more likely to win now is the £50 one and this is greatly overshadowed by losses on every other tier. Statistically each premium ticket was worth £1.68 before today and they are now worth £1.09 but they still cost the same £2.95. This is daylight robbery as most punters wont run the maths (all based on their published odds chart) and will just read the email saying the changes are all positive. Please bring back the old Daymade or make it better like you said you were doing.

Hi Tom,

Firstly we want to thank you for taking the time to write this review and sharing your honest feedback. We are very sorry that you have had a poor experience - while we can’t please everyone we’re always working towards offering the best version of DAYMADE to our players! With our new prize table, the odds of winning our £25 is up by 67% and the odds of winning a holiday/getaway is up by 29%.

We can also put your mind at ease with regards to our recent product changes as what you state in your review is not entirely correct so we'd like to clarify some points. If what you have outlined would all be correct, we’d be frustrated too!

As with all major product changes, this change was a result of our common user feedback indicating that people would like to see better odds for winning higher value prizes, versus the smaller (£5/£10) prizes. Following this feedback, we surveyed our subscribers and presented them with various options (and prize tables). The result of this survey was that users preferred to have better odds for £25 prizes (vs very good odds for £5 & £10 prizes). Further, people preferred slightly smaller prizes in the mid tiers in exchange for better odds.

We tried to achieve both of these things with our new model.

As a result, the £25 tier and £50 now have 67% better odds of winning.

The £300 and £2000 tier have 29% better odds of winning.

You are right in saying that the £10,000 and £25,000 tiers have 5% worse odds of winning. This is a compromise for better odds in the mid-tiers and has also been surveyed to our users.

We hope that players will love the new prize table even more, especially as people have been so vocal about their preference to win higher value prizes. That said, we realise that unfortunately we can’t please everyone, and some players might have loved the smaller prizes and are bummed that these are no longer part of the game. Rest assured that we will continue to listen to our players through surveys/emails/Instagram, and as a small business we are flexible in changing our product to our players’ needs (as shown by our recent change!) - if it turns out that in the long run players prefer another set-up we will happily look into new options again!

Cheers,
Team DAYMADE
