Do not use TRIP.com !

I purchased a flight from Hong Kong to London/Dublin on Trip.com for 6 months time using Virgin Atlantic.

2 days ago I get a notice saying my return flight is cancelled, and then yesterday saying my outward flight is cancelled. I did some research online on Bloomberg news and found out Virgin Atlantic aren't flying to London till at least March 2023 and haven't been flying that route for over a year.

Trip.com sold me a flight that didn't exist and now Im going through the process of chasing my money back. I spent over 40 mins on a long distance call to a USA number where their customer service is routed too.

Trip.com are telling me is up to Virgin airlines whether I get my money back or not or get a voucher. I dont want a voucher, I need the money back to book an alternative flight for Christmas.

Its just a load of stress people dont need in their life, downright shame and dishonest business policy to sell these flights and make a customer chase a refund.

Im not saying their customer service team aren't nice or professional, they are, but the company itself selling flight from a airline that hasn't being flighing the route HK to London for years is not right. Its shameful.
